Description

Installation

  • Use your package management application (urpmi, smart, apt, emerge, yum, ...) for GNU/Linux
  • Download the full-game version [loki installer for linux], use bittorrent (with azureus) to download it.
  • A graphic-card with 3D-acceleration and proprietary drivers by nVidia or ATI (if it works with integrated chipsets like intel, just tell it ;-) )

Connection configuration

  • Use button "Join Game" to get the list of available servers
  • Select Tuxfamily.org

  • Configure options first!
  • Choose an appearance for your player / pseudo
  • You may choose a default team

Standard advices

  • Be sure to have version 1.2.1 otherwise the game does not appear. Check other game servers that your client installation works.
  • For light configurations, do not change default options
  • SDL stands for Simple Directmedia Layer. It's faster than X11 but slower than OpenGL. If you have a 3D hardware-accelerated graphics card, you're better off with the "glx client" version.

Keys / game strategy

  • Arrow keys = move
  • Mouse = aim
  • Left mouse or Ctrl = shoot
  • Right mouse or Alt = alt fire
  • Shift = crounch
  • Space = jump
  • T = talk
  • Y = team talk
  • 1,2,3,..9 = select weapon
  • Esc = pause + show menu
